This policy explains what LoreWalker collects, why we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language because your walking data is personal.
Who we are
LoreWalker is the operator of the LoreWalker mobile application and this website. For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, email privacy@lorewalker-app.com.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Health and fitness data: step count and walking distance, only when you choose to grant access through Apple Health (HealthKit) or Android Health Connect. LoreWalker has read-only access; it does not write health data.
- Journey and fellowship data: your journey selections, progress, unlocked landmarks, and, if you join a fellowship, your display name and journey progress visible to fellow members.
- Settings: language, timezone, measurement units, and story preferences.
- Diagnostics: limited crash and error information from the app and service, processed by Sentry to help us keep LoreWalker reliable.
How we use it
We use this information to provide your account, turn walking activity into journey progress, deliver story content, enable fellowships, provide support, secure the service, and find and fix errors. We do not use health data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data-broker purposes.
Health data: our promise
Health data is used only to provide LoreWalker’s walking-progress features. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own advertising, marketing, data-mining, or data-broker purposes.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate LoreWalker: with service providers acting on our instructions, such as hosting and Sentry for diagnostics; with fellowship members, limited to your display name and journey progress when you choose to join; where required by law; or as part of a business transfer. Health data is never shared for advertising or marketing.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account and journey data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and associated journeys, unlocks, entitlements, and fellowship memberships. We may retain limited information in secure backups and logs for a short period where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can revoke Apple Health or Health Connect permission at any time in your device settings. You can update your account preferences in the app, request access to or correction of personal information, and request deletion by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law.
Children
LoreWalker is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
