LoreWalker is built to turn walking into an unfolding story — not to turn your health information into a product. This notice explains our use of Apple Health and Android Health Connect data.
What we read
With your explicit permission, LoreWalker reads only your daily step count and walking distance from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android. We do not request, read, or write other categories of health data. We do not use your GPS location to calculate progress.
Why we read it
We use steps and walking distance solely to calculate your progress along the LoreWalker journey you have selected, unlock story landmarks, and show your own walking-related progress in the app. If you join a fellowship, the app may show fellow members your journey progress; it does not show them your raw health data.
What we never do
- We do not sell health data.
- We do not use health data for advertising, targeted advertising, marketing, or data mining.
- We do not share health data with data brokers.
- We do not disclose health data to third parties for their own use.
- We do not write, modify, or delete data in Apple Health or Health Connect.
How to control access
Health access is optional. You can decline it and use LoreWalker without syncing activity. You can revoke access at any time in Apple Health or Health Connect settings on your device. Revoking access stops new activity from being read; it does not delete journey progress already associated with your account. To delete that progress and your account, use Settings → Delete account in LoreWalker.
How we protect it
Health data is transmitted only to provide the core journey service and is protected using reasonable security measures. Access is limited to systems and people who need it to operate and secure LoreWalker.
